Software Developer (Cyprus)

We're seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our growing team building the future of energy infrastructure software. You'll work on cutting-edge solutions that help industrial sites optimize their energy consumption, integrate renewable sources, and participate in grid flexibility markets.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop scalable Python-based backend services and APIs that power our energy management platform
  • Build robust data pipelines to process real-time energy consumption data from IoT devices and smart meters
  • Implement machine learning models for load forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization algorithms
  • Develop integrations with third-party APIs including utility providers, grid operators, and energy market platforms
  • Create monitoring and alerting systems for critical energy infrastructure operations
  • Leverage AI tools (Cursor, Windsurf) to accelerate development and maintain high code quality

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably with Python as primary language
  • Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, REST APIs, and microservices design
  • Proficiency in database design and optimization (PostgreSQL, Redis, time-series databases)
  • Familiarity with modern development tools: Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools
  • Experience with data processing frameworks and real-time streaming (Apache Kafka, Pandas, NumPy)
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies and test-driven development
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate asynchronously across time zones
